CULTURAL TALENT SEARCH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME 2009
The Centre for Cultural Resources and Training is implementing Cultural Talent Search Scholarship for outstanding young children in the age group of 10-14 years to develop their talents in various cultural fields like traditional art form of Music, dance and drama, painting sculpture and crafts, laying special emphasis on rare art forms. The scholarship awarded under the scheme is for two years at a time which is renewable after 2 years till the completion of the first university degree stage of education or up to the age of 20 years. The no of scholarship to be awarded is 500 nos, and the value of the Scholarship is Rs.3600/- per Year and the actual tuition fee paid for the specialized training is also reimbursed up to Rs.3600/- per year. Children whose date of birth is in between 01.07.1995 and 30.06.1999 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.

Dr. Radhanath Rath Scholarship & Admission to CCNA Course

FELLOWSHIP TO SCIENTISTS FOR BIO-MEDICAL RESEARCH

The union cabinet launched a major initiative by the science and technology ministry along with U K based Wellcome Trust to offer fellowship to 70 nos scientists working in the high end area of Bio-medical research.

The fellowship will be for three categories, that is early career fellows (fresh PhDs), intermediate fellows (PhDs with an experience of 5-6 years) and senior fellows (PhDs with greater experience).

The early career fellows will get a salary of Rs.4.2 lakhs and a negotiable package of allowances up to Rs.2,96,500/- a year. Intermediate fellows will get Rs.6 lakh and a negotiable package of allowances 3.65 lakh and a senior fellows will get Rs.8.4 lakh and a negotiable package of allowances 4.43 lakh a year. Besides this all the fellows will receive the high end medical insurance for them and their families.

The no of scholarship for early career fellows are 40, for intermediate fellow 20 and for senior fellow the no of scholarship is 10.

The fellowship program will be implemented by a special purpose vehicle to be operated as an independent public charitable trust with two trustees – a foreigner nominated by the Wellcome Trust and an Indian representing the Department of Bio-technology under the science and technology ministry.

TTD SCHOLARSHIP FOR MERITORIOUS STUDENTS

Tech with consistently good academic record to do PhD at Inter University Centre for Radio Astro Physics of the TATA Institute of Fundamental Research (NCRA-TIFR). The selection will be made through entrance test (both written test and interview).

SCHOLARSHIPS TO PURSUE P.G STUDIES IN BASIC SCIENCE IN ORISSA

Govt. of Orissa invites application from meritorious students residing in Orissa to pursue their Post graduation studies in Basic Sciences such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Geology under the aegis of State Council of Science & Technology. Applicants should have passed their regular full time +3 with First Class honours in any of the subjects under study.

The no of scholarship is limited to 25 Nos. which are as follows.

Physics-04, Chemistry-04, Botany-04, Zoology-04, Geology-04, Mathematics-05

The scholarship amount is Rs.2,000/-PM and will be for a period of 2 years and the selection will be made on written test by the Institute.
