Assistantship: Candidates admitted to M.Tech programme are offered half-time teaching assistantship (HTTA) of Rs.8000/-p.m. admission to a few additional candidates who are under merit list may also be offered without HTTA. They may get HTTA after 6 months depending upon vacancy. A limited number of selected candidate will get opportunity to do M tech. project in Germany under DAAD Fellowship Scheme.

Under Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) Graduate Fellowship Scheme, 2 candidates will be selected either from Mechanical Engineering or chemical Engineering Disciplinary or from both and they will be offered a monthly stipend of Rupees 20,000 per 2 years with a one time educational material allowance of Rs. 5000/-. ADMISSION TO PROFESSIONAL COURSES IN KARNATAKA THROUGH COMMON ENTRANCE TEST.

B.    For Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & yoga courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12 th std. or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB group irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes, schedule Tribes and Other Backward Classes (category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in PCB group both in qualifying examination. C.    For Engineering / Technology courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PCU/ 12th Std. or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Schedule Tribes and Other Backward Classes ( Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

ADMISSION IN TO B.ED COURSES.

Directorate of Teacher Education and SCERT invites application from eligible candidates for admission in to B.Ed Course in different Teacher Education Institutions of the state.

Eligibility:
1.    The candidate must be a permanent resident of Orissa or outlying oriya tract of west Bengal / Chhattisgarh / Jharkhand / Andhra Pradesh.
2.    Arts & Science Graduates belonging to General Category having atleast 50% marks and SC/ST & OBC/SCBC candidates having atleast 45% of marks in aggregate with 2 school subjects in Bachelor’s Degree examination are eligible to apply. 3.    The candidates must have passed ORIYA as MIL up to Matriculation standard or any such equivalent or higher examination (+2) or should have passed oriya as a subject in special examination conducted by the BSE, Orissa of HSC standard or should have passed HSC examination of BSE, Orissa in Oriya medium with MIL other than Oriya. In case of candidates who have passed without oriya as MIL should submit a certificate to the effect from the BSE, Orissa that he / she has passed HSC examination in Oriya medium.
4.    The Physically Handicapped Candidates with disability of minimum 40% are eligible to apply.
5.    In case of Green card holder candidates. Green card of health & family welfare department, government of Orissa issued in favour of their parents, spouse or self by the concerned CDMO must be submitted with the application form.
6.    In case of EX- service man candidates, the EX- serviceman certificate issued in favour of Son / Un-married daughter / Spouce of ex-service man or self by the respective defiance headquarters / Rajya sainik board / Zilla sainik board must be submitted with the application form.
7.    The outlying oriya tracked candidates who have prosecuted their studies up to high school certificate examination in their respective case will be considered for selection under OOT category. They should have passed oriya as a subject of study in HSC examination or any such equivalent or higher examination or have passed oriya as a subject in special examination conducted by BSE, Orissa.
8.    Inservice candidates: untrained teachers with Graduation, appointed on regular basis, against the sanctioned yardstick TGT posts in Government / Government Aided / Recognized high schools & teachers with graduation appointed on regular basis against the sanctioned of submission of application form and continuing as such till date are eligible to apply.

Eligibility & Qualification: The applicant should not be trained earlier in any of the languages in any of the centers. They should not have any previous knowledge in the language apply for. 50% of the seats are reserved for teachers serving in government / Govt. aided / govt. recognized high schools (6th to 10th) with 3 years of teaching experience. 20% seats are reserved for research scholars who have registered for their Ph.D. in language or allied faculties. Full time research scholars / research students getting financial assistant / fellowship need not apply. Applicants under this category must send their application through their department & register of the university. 10% seats are reserved for speakers of lesser known languages of smaller communities / tribal languages who are at least graduates. 20% open seats are for those who are post graduate in language or allied subject with language as one of the major subject at graduate level.

The selected teachers form government / fully government aided schools will be paid their salaries based on the last pay certificate sent by their respective drawing and disbursing officers. All other trainees will be paid a consolidated salary of 5000/- (Rupees five thousand only) per month. In addition all trainees will also be paid a stipend of 800/- (Rupees eight hundred) per month during the training period.
