ADMISSION IN TO M.TECH. AT INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY MADRAS
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission in to M.Tech programme in the departments of Aerospace Engg., Applied Mechanics, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics (Industrial Mathematics & Scientific Computing), Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Ocean Engg. And Physics (Solid State Technology). In addition, interdisciplinary programmes in Catalysis Technology, Nuclear Engg. And Petroleum Engg. and M.Tech. in Clinical Engg. are also offered.
Qualification:
A. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture or equivalent, or Master’s degree in Chemistry / Mathematics / Physics / Life Sciences or related subjects or professional qualification like AMIE any other associate membership as specified in the M.tech admission website (http://mtechadn.iitm.ac.in) and
B. Qualified in GATE 2011 or 2012
candidates graduating / graduated with B.Tech degree from IITs with CGPA of 7.5 and above for SC / ST category and 8.0 and above for others can apply without GATE score.
Assistantship: Candidates admitted to M.Tech rogramme are offered half-time teaching assistantship (HTTA) of Rupees Rs. 8000/- p.m. Addmission to a few additional candidates who are under merit list may also be offered without HTTA. They may get HTTA after six month depending upon vacancy. A limited number of selected candidates will gate opportunity to do M.Tech. project in Germany under DAAD fellowship scheme.
Fellowship Schemes:
AERB-GF Scheme: Under atomic energy regulated board (AERB) graduate fellowship scheme, three candidates will be selected either from mechanical Engineering (Only in Design / Thermal / Nuclear) or Chemical Engineering discipline or from both.
DAE-GF Scheme: DAE-Graduate Fellowship scheme in various engineering disciplines is offered by Department of Atomic Energy. GATE qualified candidates selected and placed in one of the DAE units after completion of M.Tech. Programme.
Students joined under the above schemes will be offered a monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000/- for two years with a one time educational material allowance of Rs. 5,000 /-. More details about AERB / DAE schemes may be seen in the website www.aerb.gov.in / www.hrdbarc.gov.in

ADMISSION IN TO FELLOW PROGRAM IN MANAGEMENT AT NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT.
National Institute of Financial Management a society of Ministry of Finance Govt. of India invites application from eligible candidates for it’s 2012-16 doctoral level fellow program in Management (Financial Management) commencing from May 2012.
The students will get Fellowship of Rs. 15,000/- per month in 1st & 2nd Year and Rs. 17,500/- Per month in 3rd & 4th year. The Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical & Engineering Training (CIFNET) at Kochi / Chennai / Visakhapatnam offers career Training to candidates in Vessel Navigator and Marine Fitter Trades which have been introduced by Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour, New Delhi under Craftsman Training Scheme of NCVT. The training courses of 24 months duration include basic practical training on board fishing vessels out at sea.
