Eligibility:

1.    For admission in to first semester of Engineering / Technology the candidate should pass or appearing in 10th standard examination of Board of Secondary Education, Orissa or any examination equivalent there to with at least 35% of marks in aggregate having pass in Mathematics.
2.    For admission in to 3rd semester under lateral entry scheme, the candidates who are passed 10th standard examination with two year ITI pass certificate are eligible to apply. In regard to CoE trade the candidate should have passed one year BBBT and six month advance module with completion certificate of specialized module issued by the principal in order to eligible. The ITI candidates having passed in Computer Operator & programming assistant (+2 entry level qualification) are only eligible for admission to computer science & engineering and IT branch. The candidates appearing or having passed +2 sciences with vocational / Technical are also eligible to apply. How Ever, The candidates are required to produce their original pass certificate along with original mark sheet of qualifying examination during counseling.

Age: Minimum 14 years for all courses except Mining/Drilling and minimum 16 years for Mining/Drilling as on 01.07.2011. upper age has no bar.

Reservation: Reservation to different categories as per Norms specified by Government of Orissa will be applicable for Orissa state candidates only. Out side State candidates are also eligible to appear the diploma entrance test for admission in to 1st semester of 3 year diploma engineering courses against 15% seats reserved for them in private engineering schools & polytechnics only. Out side state candidate are not eligible for lateral admission in to 3rd semester.

For admission in to Non-Engineering Diploma courses:

1.    Modern Office Management: Pass +2 examination in Science / Arts / Commerce from the council of higher secondary examination of Orissa or it’s equivalent examination recognized by CHSE.
2.    Hotel Management & Catering Technology: Pass +2 examination in Science / Arts / Commerce from the council of higher secondary education of Orissa or it’s equivalent examination, obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category) at the qualifying examination.
3.    Pharmacy: Pass +2 examination in Science / Arts / Commerce from the council of higher secondary education of Orissa or it’s equivalent with hysics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics as approved by PCI.
4.    Garment design & Fashion Technology & Beauty Culture: Pass +2 standard examination of board of secondary examination, Orissa or any examination equivalent there to with at least 35% of marks.

In respect of Non-Engineering Diploma courses the candidates appearing at the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. However they have to produce the pass certificate of the qualifying examination with minimum percentage of marks as mention above during counseling.

Age: Minimum 16 years in case of (B) (i), (ii), (iii) and Minimum 14 years in case of (B) (iv) as on 01.07.2011 & upper age has no bar.

Reservation: reservation to different categories as per norms specified by Govt. of Orissa will be applicable. Seats remaining vacant in MOM, HMC&T and GD&FT courses after exhausting the entire merit list of women candidates shall be filled of by general merit list of male candidates.

Eligibility & Qualification: The applicant should not be trained earlier in any of the languages in any of the centers. They should not have any previous knowledge in the language apply for. 50% of the seats are reserved for teachers serving in government / Govt. aided / govt. recognized high schools (6th to 10th) with 3 years of teaching experience. 20% seats are reserved for research scholars who have registered for their Ph.D. in language or allied faculties. Full time research scholars / research students getting financial assistant / fellowship need not apply. Applicants under this category must send their application through their department & register of the university. 10% seats are reserved for speakers of lesser known languages of smaller communities / tribal languages who are at least graduates. 20% open seats are for those who are post graduate in language or allied subject with language as one of the major subject at graduate level.

The selected teachers form government / fully government aided schools will be paid their salaries based on the last pay certificate sent by their respective drawing and disbursing officers. All other trainees will be paid a consolidated salary of 5000/- (Rupees five thousand only) per month. In addition all trainees will also be paid a stipend of 800/- (Rupees eight hundred) per month during the training period.
