20% from Psychiatry and allied behavioral sciences.
15% from Neurology.
30% from General Medicine
35% from rest of medical Subjects.

And Social Psychology and M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work courses also the entrance test will be of MCQ type consisting of 100 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. ADMISSION IN TO CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF PSYCHIATRY.

Central Institute of Psychiatry invites application from eligible candidates for admission in to the following Postgraduate degree/diploma courses of Ranchi University and conduct at this institute

1.    M.D. (Psychiatry): Candidates who are having M.B.B.S. degree from any University recognized by Medical Council of India, with one year compulsory rotating internship completed by February, 15, 2010 are eligible for this course.
2.    Diploma in Psychological Medical Medicine: Candidates who are having M.B.B.S. degree from any University recognized by Medical Council of India, with one year compulsory rotating internship completed by February, 15, 2010 are eligible for this course.
3.    Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology: 3 years of M.A. / M.Sc. (Psychology) degree holders and 2 years after M.Phil in Medical & Social psychology/Clinical Psychology degree holders are eligible for this course.
4.    M.Phil in Medical & Social Psychology: M.A. / M.Sc. in Psychology regular course of a recognized University with minmum 50% marks in aggregate holders are eligible for this course.
5.    M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work: M.A. in Sociology or Social Work regular course of a recognized university with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate holders are eligible for this course.
6.    Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing: Two years experience as Staff Nurse holders are eligible for this course.

Selection will made on the basic of marks obtained in the entrance examination. The last date for joining the courses is 31st March, 2010.
