NCERT DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP.

Applications are invited for the award of 10 NCERT Doctoral Fellowship in the field of education and other disciplines directly related to the education. The fellowships are intended for young aspirants to pursue doctoral work in a recognized university / research institution of their choice. Young scholars from different disciplinary perspectives will be encouraged to researches in the field of education.

The fellowship will be given to the candidates doing research in the priorities areas of national Curriculum Framework 2005 like Education of the Disadvantaged, Classroom Process and Practices, Curricular Areas, Education for Peace, and Psycho Social development for Children.

Eligibility: 1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks at the master’s degree level.2. The course starts from July 2011. The eligible applicant should be a graduate in any subject from a recognised university in India or abroad and having participation in at least 6 theatre productions besides working knowledge of English and Hindi. The age of the candidate should be within 20-30 years.  The total number of seats available are 26 and reservation as per the norms. Selection will be made on the basis of aptitude and talent of the candidates through a preliminary test being conducted at Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Guwahati. Selected candidates will be paid monthly stipend of Rs.6000/- to meet their academic and other expenses. Applicants who have applied for the last 3 years but could not qualify in the preliminary test should not apply again.
