ADMISSION IN TO PG DIPLOMA COURSES AT IGNOU.

Indira Gandhi National open University, New Delhi in collaboration with Security Skills Council of India (SSCI), New Delhi, a pioneer in design, development and delivery of security and fire & safety qualifications is offering, 6 months post Graduate Certificate in Security Operations, 1 year post Graduate Diploma programme in security Operations and 1 year PG Diploma in fire, Safety & Disaster Management. The delivery of the programme will follow face to face teaching –learning residential model at SSCI training academy. The batches commence in the month of Jan 2011.

Eligibility Criteria: University graduate * between 21-35 years of age (As on 01st Jan 2011), with height above 160 cms (for female 150 cms) and medically fit. Good communication skills in English & proficiency in computers is essential. Holders of NCC “C” certificate, MBA and outstanding sports achievers shall be preferred. For PG Diploma in fire safety & Disaster managements, Science and math’s in senior secondary / intermediate will be preferred.

Selection process: Candidates have to appear in a three phase selection test. First phase (Written test) will be held on Sunday 21st Nov 2010 at centers in Chandigarh, Delhi, jaipur , Dehradun, Lucknow , panta, Ranchi, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Bhopal, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, pune, Hyderabad, Chennai , Bangalore & Cochin.

Admission Process: Interested candidates may apply for prospectus & application form with latest resume including address with pin, contact number preferably mobile, E-Mail ID two passport size color photographs and Bank Draft of Rs. 350/- in favour of “Security Skills Council India Limited” payable at New Delhi to the address given below latest by Monday 15th November 2010. The prospectus & Application from can also be obtained in person from SSCI, Corporate office, New Delhi or from the nearest branch offices of SIS (addresses of branch offices are available on www.sisindia.com or http://www.ssci.co.in

Stipend: During the 06/12 months training programme, stipend of Rs. 8000/- per month will be paid for candidates of Diploma programme and Rs. 8000/-per month will be paid for candidates of Diploma programme and Rs. 6000/- per month will be paid for candidates of Certificate programme After successful completion of training, SSCI Will organize 100% placement with monthly salary of minimum Rs. 10000/- gross for Diploma holders and 7500/- gross for Certificate holders in security operations. Candidates of Diploma programme in Fire Safety and disaster management are assured placement in reputed organization.

PGEC / GECET-2010 ADMISSIONS FINAL PHASE NOTIFICATION

Eligible Candidates of PGEC / PGECET-2010 of the following categories are informed to exercise the options on 20.11.2010 and 21.11.2010 for the leftover seats now available and Seats available in certain courses offered as 11 Shift in Private Engineering Colleges, if any, and consequential vacancies that may arise in process of allotment, if any, from Help Line Centre or internet facility (Café/Home). Options exercised in the earlier phase will not be considered for allotment. All the Candidates should exercise options afresh.

Who has to apply:
A). Candidates who have secured seats but not interested to join.
B). Who have not secured seats so far
C). Who have not exercised the options so far.

Candidates who are satisfied with their previous allotment. Need not exercise option once again. They shall note that if they exercise options now and seat is allotted, the previous. Attention of Candidates of PH/CAP/NCC/SPORTS:
Certificates Verification for PH/CAP/NCC/Sports Categories: Candidates who wish to claim admission under PH & Sports have to attend for Certificate Verification on 18/11/2010 and candidates of CAP& NCC have to attend on 19.11.2010 at 9.00 AM at Sanketika Vidya Bhavan, Masab Tank, Hyderabad -28, The following are the details of Certificates to be produced.

PH: Certificate issued by District Medical Board-Candidates with 40% and above disability are only eligible. CAP- Certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare officer (In case of Ex-Service men). Identity card and Discharge book for verification. Candidates whose parents are domicile of A.P. are only eligible to be considered under “CAP” Category, NCC & Sports candidate should produce original certificates issued by competent authorities. Provisional allotment of seats under CAP/NCC/PH/Sorts and conversion of left over seats from one category to other category will be made as per relevant rules in Vogue.

Attention of All Candidates: All Candidates who have been allotted a seat in 1-Phase are once again informed to report at the respective colleges if interested on or before 15.11.2010 failing which all such not reported cases will be treated as vacancies for Next phase of allotment and they have no claim on such seat.

Attention of Principals: The Principals of University and Private Engineering / Pharmacy collages offering PG Programmes are informed to upload the joining details of the candidates allotted in First phase of PGEC / PGECET / -2010, In their perspective colleges on or before 17-11-2010 by 5.00 PM as per the guidelines placed in the department Website.

ADMISSION IN TO INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (IISWBM).

Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM) invites application from eligible candidates for admission in to MBA & MHRM, which are Master Degree courses of Calcutta University.

Eligibility: Honours Degree or its equivalent in any discipline / Graduate in any professional course (Engineering, etc.), LLB (5 years) of a recognized University. Those who will be appearing at such examination within June 2011 may also apply.

Selection: Through Common Admission Test (CAT) of IIMs. IISWBM uses CAT for short listing the candidates. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the Programme. To appear in CAT minimum 50% marks is required, in Bachelor’s Degree (Details available in CAT Notification). SC/ST quota will be fulfilled as per University guidelines.
