AMAR CHITRA KATHA SCHOLARSHIP.
The ACK Media, an entertainment and education company launched the Amar Chitra katha scholarship in memory of Anant Pai, popularly known as Uncle Pai, for his founding of the comics series for children. The scholarships open to children in the 10-15 age groups and it will be an annual event from this year.
The scholarship is aimed at improving the awareness among the youngest generation about Indian culture. The scholarship forms will be available free at all Big Bazaar stores across India from July 14 to August 7 and online (www.amar chitrakatha.com/scholarships).The scholarship evealuation is based on a written quiz on India. The quiz has both multiple choice and long form questions. The quiz will be evaluated by a panel of thre eminent judges.
Prize money: The scholarship awardees will be announced in a grand finale on the Children’s Day. The national winner will get a scholarship of Rs. 11 lakh. There will be 71 city winners, who will each get a scholarship of Rs. 25,000. A scholarship worth Rs. 5,000 in kind each will given to 144 city runners up. In addition, seven special metro winner scholarships worth Rs. 50,000 will be given. Also, 10 winners who have sent entries through SMS will get scholarship worth Rs. 15,000 in cash. The initiative is designed in a way that a child in every participating city has an opportunity to win a scholarship.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL FELLOWSHIP BY UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION.
University Grants Commission invites applications for the award of fellowships for the year 2011-12 under Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) for the benefit of students belonging to Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist & Parsi communities for pursuing (Full Time) studies leading to M.Phil / Ph.D. degree in Arts, Commerce, Science & Engineering and not availing of the benefit of JRF of UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET.
Selections will be made on the basis of merit. The guidelines of the scheme, detailed terms and conditions of the fellowship, eligibility etc. may be seen by logging In the UGC website at: www.ugc.ac.in
The applications in the prescribed format may be submitted only through on-line mode latest by 30th August, 2011 (non-extendable) by logging in webste: www.ugc.ac.in/manf
The decision of the Commission with regard to selection of candidates for the award of fellowships shall be final.
Note : 1. Applications submitted only through online mode shall be entertained and no application submitted in hard copy shall be entertained or considered for award of fellowship under any circumstances whatsoever.
2. Record of the non-selected candidates shall not be preserved beyond three months from the date of declaration of results.

RAJIV GANDHI NATIONAL FELLOWSHIP SCHEME (RGNFS) BY UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION.
The University Grants Commission invites applications for the award of 2000 fellowships for SC candidates and 667 fellowships for ST candidates for the year 2011-12 respectively under Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowships for SCs / STs to undertake advanced studies & research in sciences, Engineering & Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences in Indian Universities & Colleges for pursuing full time studies leading to M.Phil / Ph.D degree. This fellowship is applicable only for those SC/ST candidates who are not availing of the benefit of JRF of UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET.
Selection will be made on the basic of merit. Last date for online submission of application form is 30th August, 2011.

The National Law University, Delhi established in 2008 by Act No.1 of 2008 is premier Law University established in the capital city of India. The University invites applications for the following P.G. Diploma Programmes for the academic session 2011-12.
P.G. Diploma in Judging and Court Management (P.G.D.J.C.M): One year Post-Graduate Diploma offered by NLU, Delhi as Weekend programme. Graduate in Law with 50% marks holder are eligible for this course. The age limit of the candidate is 30 years as on 1st September, 2011 (35 years in case of SC/ST candidates).
