Qualifying Examination:
For AIEEA-UG-2011: (other than Veterinary Sciences) Must have passed and obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate for admission under General UPS and OBC categories or 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC,ST and PH categories in 10+2 examination or equivalent / Inter (Agriculture ) with PCM / PCB / PCMB / PCA / PCH Subject Combinations.
For AIEEA-PG-2011: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Forestry, Agri. Marketing Banking and Cooperation, Food  Science , & Technology, Biotechnology, Process & Food Engineering, Computer Science, Basic and allied sciences under 10+2+5 or 10+2+4 years degree programmes. (Few seats are also available for candidates having Bachelor degree with 10+2+3 year degree programme) with required OGPA of 6.60/10, 3.25/5, 2.60/4 for General, OBC and UPS Categories whereas for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped (PH) Categories the said requirement is 5.60/10, 2.75/5, 2.20/4, respectively. In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidates must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC and  UPS Categories whereas for SC/ST/PH, the requirement is 50% marks. PRE-VETERINARY TEST BY VETERINARY COUNCIL OF INDIA.

Veterinary Council of India, a statutory body of the Government of India established under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 invites application for All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) -2011 For Admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. Course For academic session 2011-2012.

Note: Students from the state of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible to appear in this test, as that State has not adopted the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.

Essential Qualification: He / She has passed:
(i)    The Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years of study, the last two years of study with physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Education Research and Training after the Introduction of the 10+2+3 (years) educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.
(ii)    The Intermediate Science examination in Science from a recognized University / Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (which shall include a practical test in these subjects) and English.
(iii)    Minimum Marks: To be eligible for AIPVT, candidates must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated above Further, he/she should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and  English at 10+2 / Intermediate Science Examination. Provided also that to be eligible for AIPVT the candidate must have passed the aforesaid subjects individually. For the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes / the Scheduled Tribes or other special category (Other Backward Classes) of Students as specified by the Government from time to time, Marks required for admission shall be 10% less than that prescribed for General Category.
(iv)    Age: He / She has attained or will attain the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st December, 2011 Candidates attaining seventeen years on 1st of January, 2012 or later will not be eligible to appear at the AIPVT.
